Rusty Eye struggled in the Mexican music scene and eventually relocated to
Los Angeles, CA, in 2003. That lineup became its definitive one: Mr. Rust (bass
and vocals), Miss Randall (drums and vocals) and Baron Murtland (guitar).
Rusty Eye has independently produced and released: 4 Studio Albums, 2 Live
Albums, 1 EP, 2 Singles, 8 Demos, 7 Music Videos and has collaborated with
world renowned artists such as: soundtrack score composer Claudio Simonetti
(Goblin), singer Alex Mitchell (Circus of Power), guitarist and producer
Waldemar Sorychta (Grip Inc).
Rusty Eye’s original sound has been described as a colossal hybrid of metal,
rock and punk styles all interwoven into a resonance that sounds very natural,
without any notice of the music being forced into the aforementioned styles.
You will hear thrash metal riffs, black metal style tremolo picking; punk riffs
toppled with highly 70’s influenced progressive rock crossed with a very strong
NWOBHM approach. If that was not a sufficient amount of genre hopping,
there’s a highly immense underground metal influence of death metal as well
as stoner rock.
“Saca el Cobre” was the band’s first album in Spanish.
A collection of classic Rock en Español songs that caught the attention of
Mexican Rock Legend and filmmaker Sergio Arau, who recruited Rusty Eye as
the band for his solo act.
