Violet Road released their debut album ”Letters” in 2008 and after considerable touring they got the national attention they needed.
With ”Violet Road” (2011) and ”Peter Every and his marching Band” (2013) on Playroom/Sony Music, they gained considerable air play through radio and TV performances. The critically acclaimed ”Back to the Roadshow” (2014 Sony) really hit the sweet spot in both the live and radio market, and with the album ”In Town to get You” (2016 Sony) they saw their biggest tour so far.
Joel Hamilton (Tom Waits, The Black Keys, etc.) produced the 2018 Album “Lines across Light” and the single “Monument” was radio listed immediately.
Drummer Herman Rundberg left the band pursuing a career as a music producer in 2018 and was replaced with hard hitting Espen Høgmo. After summer touring they put out the "rocker" EP "Lovers & Liars", and "Come high, Come Low" was released as a kick off for their acoustic tour 2019. A live recording was released early 2020.
In 2020 the singles “Brother” and “A New Day Begins” produced by Ariel Sivertsen (The Late Great, LUT, Resirkulert) was listed on NRK P1 and as an answer to the Corona virus the band went on a summer coastal tour using an old fishing boat, now Spa boat “Vulkana” as a stage, playing double shows in 20 harbours in Norway.
Violet Road has become known for great live shows, with huge musical spans.
