Born in the sprawling slums of Kibera, Nairobi he purposed to earnestly pursue his career in music. Octopizzo currently has 4 albums namely “Chocolate City“, “LDPC” which took the Number 1 spot on iTunes on its first week of release and “Refugeenius” which he collaborated with over 20 Refugees from Kakuma & Dadaab Refugee camps and his latest album "Next Year" which is classic Jazz Hip Hop & Soul fusion and was number 2 on iTunes on the first week of release. All these albums are available on Spotify. While his first love is music, he has a passion for philanthropy and has been involved in numerous humanitarian engagements, most notably with UNHCR through the "Artists for Refugees" and "Refugeenius" projects, which involve refugee and Kenyan youth in building their talents through music and the arts.
Dynamism, energy and passion are his hallmarks and they inform the creativity with which he creates his music which centers on success and believing in oneself. As a certificate holder of Social Impact Strategy from University of Pennsylvania & Organizational Leadership from Harvard Kennedy University, he uses his influence and craft to advocate for development and socio-economic equality for the less privileged.
