Shortly, Marco covers the song “Stars” by Simply Red. The re-arranged version, just uploaded on youtube, receives attention from press, italian magazines and music blogs. Marco manages to get the attention of a bigger audience.
In April 2017, Marco e l’ape’s first original song (La Triste vita di Luigi) debuts on the digital market.
The smash hit, written and sung in Italian, received outstanding reviews among critics, debuted on the Italian chart where the song performed well for more than 3 months. The videoclip, a short black and white cartoon movie, written and produced by Marco himself, charted on youtube’s top trending videos for several days after its release. The promotional tour brings Marco on National Italian radios, where he gained his first spins.
In the meantime, Marco had relocated in London, to develop his vocal and writing skills.
Marco is now stepping in the market as a solo artist, exploring a new music identity, built with the curiosity to express a different sound, inspired by the Uk modern pop sogs.
