Despite the virus wracking the world, two lockdowns, working full time in a crumbling economy, Sussex band Common Buzzards still have time for a tasteful bass lick and a little preach about social issues.
Formed in 2018, Alex Green (Lead Vocals & Guitar), Joe Parrott (Lead Guitar/Drums), and Harrison James (Bass) assembled through social media and discovered a sound that gives a firm nod to classic 90's britpop and indie with a modern twist and exuberant and infectious energy.
The three-piece, recently crowned winners of the Thame Town Music Festivals' Peoples Choice Award (2020), released their first EP called 'Super Soul' in December of 2019. It includes four songs that have been key to the band's success and progression over the last two years. This was followed by their first single release 'Personal Space', which was picked up by BBC Introducing 'The South' and aired on both BBC Radio Sussex & Surrey. Since then America's largest broadcaster iHeart Radio, Washington's online store Napster, and Brighton's finest RadioReverb have kindly shared it to the world.
They've showcased their music at some of the most well-renowned venues in the south-east of England. The Tunbridge Wells Forum, HopYard Brewing Co (Forest Row), and The Hope & Ruin (Brighton) to name a few, with the boys due to perform on the main stage at the Thame Town Music Festival in 2021.
