On his debut album Burgundy , Will centers the music on the topic of grief and loss, with death and breakups being the driving inspiration. With burgundy being a metaphor for dried blood and an intangible source of inspiration all at once, the music isn't pigeonholed to only moody sounds, but instead shows the range of his talent, attention to detail and craftsmanship as an artist, writer, producer and engineer. With help from Yung Baby Tate, Lorine Chia, Freshie and more, Will builds a sonically enthralling world with this album. Since it’s release, Burgundy has been covered on Pitchfork, Fashionably Early and numerous other platforms.
With a wide ranging sound of harsh drums and light samples and melodies, Will plays with juxtaposition while rapping and singing about relationships, his childhood and grief. His music is as unpredictable as it is infectious, causing the need for his tag, "I need a cherry on top".
