A founding member of Rime Fytahs, Sea Serpents, and Creators of the Lost Arts (C.O.L.A. Crew), Haewhyer grew up in the early 80s on the East side of Los Angeles, California.
Surrounded by gangs, violence, and dealing with the loss of his Mother at a young age, Haewhyer was forced to deal with the perils of his environment. Influenced by early Hip-hop culture, he took his anger and disputes to either the mic or the floor, as he was an experienced B-Boy as well. Known for his unrefined persona and indisputable rhyme flow, Haewhyer quickly made a name for himself in the Los Angeles Underground Hip-hop scene from street rap battles to live performances producing numerous Rime Fytahs projects in the process. No matter how inhibited, his poetic improvisation was irrefutable and fell nothing less than impressive earning himself the name, The Drunken Master. His committed stance to preserve the codes-of-honor within Hip-hop has made an everlasting impact on our culture which carries on till this day.
In the summer of 2004, Haewhyer’s life was tragically cut short before the release of his album The Drunken Master, which contains eerie premonitions of his transcendence into the next realm. His legacy is carried on by his immediate family members, friends, and supporters.
You can find more of Haewhyer’s works on Rime Fytahs projects which are now streaming on all major digital platforms.
