Mr. Ray Bass (Riëndy Holder) is a singing bass player, drummer, guitarist and songwriter from Curaçao.
At age 14 Riëndy started playing drums at his local church and he quickly developed an interest for the guitar and songwriting. But it was when he first grabbed a rusty old 3-string bass at his local church that he absolutely fell in love with music. Since then Ray and the bass have become inseparable. This creativity driven by his passion for the bass made Mr. Ray Bass the go-to bassist in the Dutch & Caribbean music scene.
Ray's music can best be described as a fusion between Caribbean music, Reggae and Pop, yet driven by the low lows of the bass. His message is clear and simple: everybody has the right to be free in their mind, body and soul. It's clear that Ray Bass is heavily influenced by artists such as Bob Marley & Sting who are both well known for their message in the music and activism.
After more than a decade of making music for others Ray Bass is ready to tell the world his own story through the sound of his voice, the low notes of the bass. HIs mission: spread love and positivity through the message in the music. His debut EP 'Come to My Island' will be released on March 21st 2021.
