In September of 2014, I married a wonderful girl from Georgia named Jen. In November of that year, we moved into a beautiful new house in Melissa, Texas. In June of 2015, I quit my job as Worship & Arts Pastor at a local church and stepped into a new career I knew nothing about. In April of 2016, my wife gave birth to the most beautiful baby boy, Henley James Worsham. In 2017, we moved our family from Texas all the way to Macon, Georgia.
A lot of good and a lot of bad happened in between.
All of these things have put me in the place where I currently reside. The hurt I've felt has created the space for hope. The loss I've felt has birthed a new freedom. I'm not afraid of being misunderstood anymore. Life's lows should be embraced, not hidden. Our pain should be proudly displayed, not covered with masks. Our words should be true, not used as a way to manipulate.
After spending years trying to write music for everyone else, I'm finally writing music that is for me. These songs are the things I've gone through. These songs are the stories I need to tell.
They won't be for everyone, but neither am I.
