Originating from the narrow space between social classes, Oli Barton has been crafting carefully constructed indie anthems ever since his voice broke.
Growing up in South London and working his way from bars to clubs and everywhere in between, Oli managed to harness a musical talent that was never taught but instead self-cultivated. Many hours locked alone inside rooms solely including a piano and a notepad allowed Oli to experiment and become a true artist (and misfit). Achieving a sense of humour and lyrical finesse that would miraculously not only appeal to himself but also to audiences, Oli has received plaudits from the BBC and multiple famous personalities ensuring that his energetic performances are never ignored.
With acclaimed tracks such as '44' and 'Photograph', Oli has inspired a large fanbase of die-hard fans ready to follow his every move, whether it be at intimate concerts or high-capacity festivals.
At such events, Oli is also a self-proclaimed “pretentious vocal advocate” of animal rights boasting his rich plant-based lifestyle and protesting injustices through his support of animal rights charity PETA.
Miraculously in his young age, Oli has truly created a genre seemingly completely of his own. Surrounded by a wealth of talented musicians from across the globe, the alternative rock stylings to which they are commonly shoehorned will never do justice to the unique sound and style of Oli Barton & The Movement.
