Founded in fall of 2013, the band WESLYNN was formed when three Arizona State University schoolmates & long-time friends Jared Geyer, Greg Olin, & Kevin Holmes decided to start making music together.
They quickly gained a devoted fan base in their hometown of Phoenix, Arizona while playing coffee shops, cover gigs, & releasing original home recordings online. The following year, WESLYNN’s first professionally produced five-track EP titled Dark Days. The album was engineered & produced by Nashville recording artist, David Dreas.
In February 2015, WESLYNN released the single What Went Wrong. “Everything we have been through has brought us closer together. We have individually had so many personal trials, but when we start playing music, it all fades away. The world is constantly changing & throwing tragedy into our lives, but WESLYNN has given us the opportunity to rally around each other & made us even closer friends. This music is a direct response to those hard times of love & loss.”
WESLYNN's sophomore five-song EP was recorded with producer Dan Parker in spring of 2016. The band draws their inspiration from musicians like Augustana, The Maine, John Mayer, The Rolling Stones, & Queen; blending their fresh sound & classic rock style. With smooth vocals, haunting harmonies & grooving guitar vibes, WESLYNN’s music reaches people of all ages. The band continues to focus on writing new material & is excited to keep sharing their music with fans all over the world.
