"Somos melhores juntos!"
Brazilian rock group Picanha de Chernobill is formed by Matheus Mendes (vocals and bass), Chico Rigo (guitar and vocals) and Leonardo Ratão (drums). The band was formed in 2009 in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Its influences range from Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Blues and Folk. Recorded in the same year their first disc, self-titled "Picanha de Chernobill".
In 2010, the group won a festival of independent bands organized by a brewery and was awarded the recording of their second album, "O Velho e o Bar".
The band moved to the city of São Paulo in 2013 and started playing in the streets. In 5 years, the band has already done more than 600 concerts through the streets of São Paulo. With this initiative, established a sense of belonging to the city, taking music and art for free to the public space.
In 2016 the band participated in a crowdfunding campaign for the recording of its third album and thus made possible the release of "O Conto, a Selva e o Fim" in December of the same year.
In 2017 presented several concerts to disclosure the new album and on September 17, performed at Rock in Rio. In November of the same year, the power trio made their first International tour, performing in Netherlands, France and Germany. In June 2018 boarded for the second European tour
