After high-school Alexandre moved to London where he studied a Bachelor in Songwriting at the Institute of Contemporary Music P. During that time he wrote and performed in the electro-pop duo‘ Mannequins on 7th Street’. With their debut EP ‘Superblue’ the duo gathered quite a momentum on the blogosphere being featured in NME and VICE.
However, Alexandre’s growing love for songwriting made him want to start a singer-songwriter-driven project. By the end of 2016 Alexandre moved back to Belgium with lots of new songs written during his schoolyears to launch ‘Halehan’. He releases his first EP Temple of Maia in 2017 which’ lead single ‘Whirlwind’ gathers a lot of attention now reaching 4 million plays on spotify. Halehan is soon stated by many french and Belgian magazines (Inrocks, ELLE, Madmoizelle, Justfocus) as ‘the new folk jewel’ (translated from french: ‘La nouvelle pépite folk’).
His new EP 'Selfless Dream' is OUT NOW .
