Howdy! My name's Nick.
About six years ago, I slapped this quote onto some cassette tapes. Woody Guthrie actually said it a hell of a lot longer ago than that. I'd picked it out for the first run of 'Semi-revolutionary,' (my first collection of songs), and I was sixteen years old. I believe that it held some relevance to the kind of person I'd aspired to be at that time in my life, but I can admit that I still wave these words around every so often. It serves as a reminder to continue to ground my art within the mere labor that it requires for its creative conception; "I wrote it, that's all I wanted to do."
Thank you for listening!
