Bristol-based singer/songwriter Alison Dell spent her childhood in the small town of Berwick-upon-Tweed in the North East of England. Born into a music-loving family, she grew up listening to artists such as Kate Rusby, Scott Walker, Imogen Heap and Kate Bush. She began learning the piano and guitar at a young age, inspired by her dad's remarkable aptitude for learning musical instruments. She then started to write her own music in her late teens, encompassing those oh-so-relevant teenage subjects such as getting drunk, boys and late-night parties. Fast-forward a few years and after moving to Bristol and falling in love with its alternative vibe, she met producer Tim Hewitt through a mutual friend at a house party. After many late nights experimenting with music together for around a year, they focused on an electronic pop sound mixed with catchy hooks yet emotive lyrics. They take inspiration from artists such as Banks, Mura Masa, Sigrid, Disclosure and Ellie Goulding.
