For fourteen-year-old Lily Clara, music is a second nature.  Since before she can remember, music had always been a part of her life - she learned how to play the piano at four years old, and by the time she was nine, she had taught herself how to play guitar and write her own songs.
Lily has studied voice and songwriting with Chigao-based musician Jess Godwin since 2018, when making music became more than a hobby. The following summer, she attended Interlochen Arts Camp, where she was able to take rigorous music classes every day with other dedicated young musicians.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Lily has been recording all of her music in her own home studio. Over the summer of 2020, she was able to work with producer Aubrey Whitfield on two original singles, “Pity Party” and “It’s Fine”, which came out respectively in August and October. During her extra time at home this year, Lily taught herself how to produce her own music, and even self-produced her most recent single, "November".
"November", co-written and performed with singer/songwriter Rachel Beth, is a catchy pop song about heartbreak and looking back on old love. The co-writers capture the emotional experience of a first heartbreak while staying true to the stylistic upbeat pop melody.
Since a young age, Lily has dreamed of sharing her songs with the world. With a bright future ahead of her, she plans to continue persuing music and do whatever it takes to turn her dreams into a reality.
