The Big Sugar sound: melodic, guitar heavy and deep with grooves. They have never conformed to trends, uniquely blending Roots Rock Reggae .  Gordie Johnson is the founder, lead singer and principle songwriter of Big Sugar.
Current band members bassist Garry Lowe, drummer Chris Gormley, percussionists Alex Johnson and Rey Arteaga on congas now share the stage with Johnson to provide 5 piece vocals and a rhythm that serves to showcase his signature guitar playing. Brand new and yet still satisfying to fans old and new.
