Tommy Iceland

  1. 1.
All of our experiences influence who we become. Memories from our past line up like arrows pointing to our future.
In hindsight, the pieces fit together seamlessly, as if everything before led us to the moment we’re living in the present. For Tommy Iceland, that moment is now. It seems his whole life has prepared him for the journey he’s about to embark on. Born on Iceland, but raised in Sweden, Tommy came from a musical family. He started writing songs when he was 12, but thrived behind the drum kit for years in different bands playing everything from punk, rock and reggae. In the midst of a challenging home life, songwriting became more important as a way of escaping and processing traumas.
After a life-threatening car accident, a desire awakened in Tommy to share his original worship music. Soon after, the budding artist embarked on a transformative mission trip to Tanzania where he played his own music for the first time in remote African villages in front of thousands. That trip gave him confidence to find his voice as an artist.
Hailing from a country known for manufacturing some of the biggest pop songwriters and producers of our generation, it would be easy for a talented Swede like Tommy to naturally want to follow in the footsteps of Max Martin, the maestro behind massive hits by Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande. Yet, if he’s certain of anything, it’s that he’s called to give fellow believers a song to sing.
