Elle Melle is a Norwegian group, based in Stavanger. The group was founded by music students, studying jazz, and started up as trio. But soon, just before releasing their first album “Ut I år”, the trio was extended to a quintet. As the album title indicates, Elle Melle’s lyrics are entirely Norwegian.
Today, after releasing seven albums, the group’s overall musical expression has gone from a more jazz-orientated pop, to pop music, clearly influenced by the singer/songwriter tradition.
