The Hollow Ends is a Saint Louis, Missouri folk-rock project created by songwriter Zachary Schwartz. The primary drive of the music comes from fleeting tempos, pounding drums and a distorted hollow-body guitar, focusing the energy and function of punk and rock through the lens of roots/Americana.
Schwartz's songwriting draws on the socially conscious spirit of anthemic choruses more common among punk rock bands like Bad Religion and Penny Wise, but with a pared down, minimalist ambiance and tone of folk acts like Brown Bird, Shakey Graves or Avett Brothers.
