With each and every release Beverly Kills, and their energetic post-punk, have garnered more international acclaim.
After their 2018 debut singles, the Gothenburg based band were hailed as Sweden’s next big thing, according to both international and domestically based media. They eventually reached the ears of Australian indie label Hell Beach, who released the band’s two next singles last year. Meanwhile, the band was touring showcase festivals and sold out venues around Europe to support the singles.
2020 marked a new chapter for Beverly Kills as they played their first shows in the US and released Elegance in a State of Crisis, their long-awaited debut EP through Gothenburg label Welfare Sounds. The release was met with a vast array of positive criticism both from Swedish media, and from larger media outlets such as KEXP, BrooklynVegan, and Jezebel. While finishing their debut album, the band released the one-off single Trophy Hunt - their most hooky, and danceable post-punk anthem to date.
