Jaye Cane (born July 9) is an American rapper and songwriter. Raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jaye embarked on his musical career as a teenager under the stage name six-9, releasing a mixtape that garnered local attention and led to his signing with indie record label MANN UP RECORDS.
He began to gain recognition in 2005, after his first media release, “Homeless” The following year, he independently released his first studio album, Poverty City, which included his debut single, "Miltown 101". By that time, he had amassed a large street following which led to doing shows all over the Mid-west region.
