Lauren Lee is a forward-thinking vocalist, pianist, and composer based in New York City on a wild goose chase of sorts to find her own sound in the adventurous music scene as a young innovator.
Likened both to the female jazz pioneers that came before her as well as artists like Regina Spektor and Bjork, Lee's compositions and improvisational style nestle between straight ahead sensibilities and avant garde techniques. Her second album as a leader, Windowsill, will be released mid-2019 and features a quartet with Brad Mulholland on woodwinds, Marcos Varela on bass, and Andy O'Neill on drums.
