“I had two speakers and a line-in mic recorder I'd set up on a chair,” shares Mitchell of his early recording days. “I’d have the speakers about three to five feet behind me and facing the mic and had to record the whole song in one take. Every time I messed up I'd have to start over but I just had to hear it finished. That’s really how I got started.”
