Yves has described his music as a blend of political pop and sad songs you can dance to. Tackling issues like trans rights through his song “The Girls (TWOC)” or openly discussing depression through his song “Emotional”, which are both featured on his recently released debut album “Yves : Chronicle 1”.
The first single “Money Talks” was released March 1st 2018 and its trap pop quality gave us a taste of what to expect for the album. For the past couple years Yves has been working internationally as a full time model and has expressed his love for making music in interviews but didn’t take a step into the music scene until December 31st of last year with his single “Savage” which talks about his struggle with suicide and sexuality at the age of 15. The singer/songwriter is best described as unapologetically queer, and unapologetically himself and wants to reach essentially everyone but most importantly the underdogs and the outcasts through his music, his creative freedom, sobriety and faith serve as huge anchors in his life. Yves is a huge advocate for poc and lgtbq+ youth and encourages others to “do whatever the f*ck you want, just don’t hurt anybody”
