The meeting proved life-changing and led to their collaboration on new music in the studio.
After living, performing and recording in New York and Philadelphia for 7 years, she has relocated back to her native Scotland where she continues to compose songs, music for media and instrumental work.
Her vocal music features her trademark vocals and soothing piano ballads which draw comparisons to legendary artists such as Tori Amos, Joni Mitchell and Sarah McLachlan. Though her music centers around the piano, the influence of Folk, Early Jazz, Blues and Classical music is evident in songs such as “Take Me To Paris and The Last Tree.”
Anna’s work in the studio is unique, intimate and delicately written and she proves herself as a versatile writer with an active imagination for beautiful melodies and interesting musical direction. Anna finds herself being compared to Sarah McLachlan and Agnes Obel and is influenced by such current composers such as Nils Frahm, Max Richter and Ludovico Einaudi.
Her latest release (Feb 2018) is an EP of piano music which reflects her love for the instrument and all of its subtle nuances and beauty which resonate in these beautiful pieces.
