It all began in Secondary school for the quintet. On a school trip to Brighton, Romain, Victor and Jerome met Benjamin and BT in the summer of 2006 whilst sharing the same room in a host family.
Their common passion for The Strokes, Oasis and Kasabian, amongst many others, made them want to start a band as soon as they got back to the other side of the pond.
Some demos were made but it is only in 2012 that Morning Robots hatched out.
The group gave its first concert on the 7th of March 2013 at the Cavern Club in Paris and ended that year at Bus Palladium
In 2014, the band returned to its homeland, Brighton, and shot its first video to their first single entitled “Shiny Laughter”.
In December that year, The Robots released “Fall For You”, a song that subtly mixed vibratos and percussive guitars with a whiff of old westerns.
The band continues to perfect their sound and setlist in Paris and its surroundings, including L’International, l’Alimentation Générale, FGO Barbara, La Clef, Bus Palladium, Le Baron, the Truskel, Paris Paris Club and opened for Yungblud at Supersonic in January this year.
The band’s first EP, entitled “Nothing Like Tile For A Tango” was released on the 1st of June 2018.
On this occasion, the lads were joined by producer Vincent-Marie Bouvot and Alex Gopher (Air, Phoenix…)
The single “Meet Me Later” encapsulates perfectly the path the Robots want to take, made of energy, saturated guitar and riffs people can sing along to.
