Dead Obies

Dead Obies (4 rappers and 1 producer) released their critically-acclaimed debut album, Montréal $ud, in November 2013. The undeniable success of their sophomore effort, Gesamtkunstwerk (2016), was a real stepping stone for Dead Obies, who performed a string of sold-out gigs across Quebec. Before ending their tour in a jam-packed MTELUS, the band opened for Kendrick Lamar on the Plains of Abraham (Festival d'été de Québec) and for French rapper Georgio at the Olympia de Paris, and performed in the opening concert of the 2016 Francos de Montréal. Dead Obies' third album DEAD. (2019) is a way for the group to close a chapter in their career and being a new one : to die and be reborn.
