Susana Travassos is considered one of the greatest Portuguese female singers. Besides her clear and precise singing, she stands out for the intensity of her interpretation.
Has been gaining prestige in Latin America for the past few years, where she conquered admirers, an audience of followers and the press respect. During the period she lived in Brazil, she performed alongside renowned artists such as Chico César, Yamandu Costa, Zeca Baleiro, Chico Saraiva, Chico Pinheiro and Toninho Horta.
Right now Susana is preparing the launch of her third album Pássaro Palavra, her first original musical work, recorded in Buenos Aires. The album has unpublished songs including compositions by Luísa Sobral and Melody Gardot. A work that represents her artistic maturity and certainly puts Susana Travassos among the leading Portuguese singers of her generation.
“Susana is a very sensitive singer. Her singing is clean and intense. She sings her own village and this makes her sound universal.” Zeca Baleiro – Musician, composer
“Susana's own soul seems to rise when she sings. And she serves the song, not the vanity of being a singer.” Tiago Torres da Silva - Composer
"As I watched and listened to Susana singing, I felt an overwhelming sense of strength and sweetness combined. As if this young woman could carry the ancestry of all the women in the world within herself” Ana Terra - Composer
