Fairly new to UK bass music, 20-year-old Christian Williamson, professionally known as Zero, has already started to make his mark on the scene with his seamless blend of underground genres and unique sound design, as he continues to improve on his sound and expand his following with every new track.
His most recent tracks have made waves throughout the scene, gaining support from the likes of My Nu Leng, Holy Goof, Notion, Skepsis and many more. One of these being his collaboration with Bushbaby, entitled ‘Forget It’, which reached number one on Juno Download within 48 hours of release.
‘Zero Genres’ is a concept he tries to incorporate into his music. The idea being that each track produced steers clear of any genre boundaries and instead takes inspiration from them. Most tracks will have heavy influences from Garage, Bassline, Dubstep, Drum and Bass, Breakbeat and even World Music. With the addition of complex sound design, eerie atmospheres and pulsating drums, his style is easily recognizable.
2017 has been a huge year for Zero. He has released many tracks throughout, two of them amassing over 3000 likes on Soundcloud alone, as well as a UKF premiere and a handful of other features and uploads. He has also started to play live this year, and within 6 months of gigging, already headlined sold out shows, and played alongside DJ Zinc, Flava D, Chris Lorenzo & Darkzy, not to mention his debut on Rinse FM with Saucy Records.
