Warzone of the Suburbs - Acoustic
Emerging from the southern highlands of NSW, Lola Scott shook off her country shackles and made a name for herself amongst Sydney’s music scene with her unique brand of dogmatic Dark-indie Pop.

A multi-instrumentalist, with a degree in guitar and a love for synth, sculpting soundscapes for her intense melancholic vocal style. Scott’s vocals will secure your attention immediately. After growing up listening to Joy Division, The Cure and Zeppelin, she made her way to her current influences which include Maggie Rogers, Broods, Wolf Alice, MØ,.

Lola Scott’s second single “Warzone of the Suburbs” explores a new pallet of sounds & sees her sound transform.

Lola Scott, describes the song, produced by Joel Quartermain (Eskimo Joe, Meg Mac), as a message to stop putting up with abuse. The lyrics explore an insider perspective of living with abuse and sympathising with how abuse is addictive to the victim and the bully. Control is often mistaken for love and breaking the cycle puts both at risk of vulnerability.

In Lola Scott’s first year as an artist she has played Falls Festival with her 7 piece band (including dancers) alongside Mallrat, San Mei & Kota Banks. She has also supported Clea and Samsaruh. Throughout the year, Lola Scott has played guitar and synth for Asta & The Kava Kings across Europe and Australia.
