To say the band has been on a mission is an understatement. After the release of 2018’s acclaimed self-titled release, the Rotterdam-based punk veterans toured relentlessly, hitting almost every underground festival in mainland Europe, followed by a number of North American stops (Fest, Pouzza Fest etc.).
Fast forward a mere 365 days later and the momentum clearly continues; Together Alone drops on Stardumb Records. Touring plans continue as well, of course, with another US string planned, with an appearance at Fest in Florida yet again.
Their sophomore record in question is equally as consistent as their 2018 debut. Upbeat, catchy tunes that will keep your focus, falling somewhere between Marked Men, Leatherface, Sheer Mag, Rocket From The Crypt and The Ramones. Topped off with the combination of the dual-vocal duties by Merel and Ox. On Together Alone, the songs are slick, have emotion, but with enough balance that it sits very closely to their debut, albeit with a tad more of an Albini-esque production sound.
There’s no doubt that the pace of the band will continue well through 2020, and Together Alone is an excellent example of that. -Steve Adamyk
