The first release (under his own name) was back in 2009, a limited edition split 7" single with his prolific former Hefner band mate, Darren Hayman: The Bands That Don't Reform/A Soft Place (Black Kitten Records - Italy). No they didn't reform! Next came the release of a very short and scruffy mini-mini-album of folky mandolin instrumentals full of the joys of spring: Only Pipe Dreams In The Pipeline, on the Italian collective, We Were Never Being Boring (2013). A big pop single burst from the clouds in 2014: (This is Just) the Calm Before the Storm, recorded on the Isle of Wight, (WWNBB). 2015 saw the arrival of Ant's fourth full length CD album, (his first as Antony Harding): By The Yellow Sea, (WWNBB), with its two catchy singles, Walk With No Real Place To Go and Once You Had A Love (But The Love Refused To Grow). Another pop single emerged in 2016, recorded on a dark January afternoon on a farm on the Isle of Wight, appropriately during a heavy rainstorm: True Love (Under Sheets Of Rain), (WWNBB).
Ant's latest release is an album of assorted short and scruffy, spontaneous woodland tunes: The Goldfinch (and other instrumentals) on Black Candy Records (Italy 2017).
