Cam the Artisan is an independent artist epitomizing the next generation of Black eclecticism. Born and raised in Atlanta, Cam has been writing music since he was six years old, but pivoted full-time into music at 17. Sonically, Cam explores the intersection between hip hop, soul, and dance, with his penmanship and poetic style exuding vulnerability. The 22 year old genre-bending musician uses his gifts to provide a cinematic perspective on the typically unspoken lifestyles of introverted youth within art culture. This is pretty evident in his debut album Hues (2019) along with his other notable releases "Brown Skin" (2020) and Paintings in the Fall (2020). His smooth yet intentional approach to records draws comparisons to Smino, Earthgang, Goldlink, Noname, Vince Staples and more. From being featured at Fader Fort in 2019 to opening sold-out arenas for Megan thee Stallion, the Southern marvel has already been deemed an artist to watch by BMI, Vans, Sprite and many more. Cam the Artisan has yet to release his sophomore album. With a bevy of work in the vault, and insurmountable talent, he is guaranteed to make headway with his next release.
