"Earnest, personal, not pretentious, and honest. Joey shows tremendous growth as a writer. He's being pretty fearless here. I love this batch of songs." - Nick Bertling
I'm a Brooklyn born songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and indie artist who's also a founding member (bass/vocals) of both, The Montgomery Cliffs and Bleaker Street Cowboys. Long Lost Weekend was produced by my longtime friend, bandmate, and talented recording artist, Andy Bopp. Check out my 2018 release, Family Matters, the prelude to my 2019 album. It was produced by the great, Nick Bertling of Bertling Noise Laboratories. As a songwriter, my musical tastes range from pop, rock, and electronica to americana, folk, and country. My latest release, The Mediocre Rise & Fall of Sal Velour is a song-cycle based on a fictional character within a world of factual events, places, and real people. It's a sonic time-capsule of early 2020 in the USA. Part political, part social commentary... written & recorded in the midst of the pandemic.
