Alicia Cibola is a soul, blues, and pop singer-songwriter from Houston, Texas, USA. Her songwriting is heavily influenced by personal experiences and life lessons.
Alicia's powerful vocals and descriptive lyrics are a direct result of creativity that was nurtured during her adolescence. She grew up singing in church choirs and participating in school musical productions in Lafayette, Louisiana. Her first choir experience was at 7 years old and she’s been singing ever since. Various school programs created her love and respect for the arts and performing; at Lafayette High School, she had lead roles in multiple musical productions and choir shows. During her senior year in high school, she was named co-president of the Lafayette High School Choir. In 2009, she was given the Outstanding Senior Musician Award and also won a soloist award at the Southern Invitational Chorale Conference. In 2014, Alicia began recording and performing original music. She has performed live with Grammy-award winning blues artist, Tony Goulas and her cover music videos have been shared on social media by alternative rock band, Tonic. Alicia Cibola released her first single, Rosarito, in 2017. Her musical style can be described as a mixture of soul, blues, and pop. Her influences include Aretha Franklin, India Arie, Tina Turner, and Natasha Bedingfield. She is currently working on her debut EP to be released in early 2021.
