Kill Strings, consisting of Julian Lee, David Schmidt, Dominik Gebcyzk und Finn Blug, unleash hammerings of unadulterated dirty post-grunge from the heart of Hamburg.
Since their inception in late 2016, Kill Strings were already able to make a name for themselves locally and were chosen by the renowned newspaper MOPO as one of the best newcomer bands in Hamburg of 2017 as well as deemed worthy of the title “Hamburg’s Foo Fighters”. Over the course of 2018’s festival summer, Kill Strings had the honor of playing on some of the most prominent festival stages in Germany: Hurricane Festival, Oakfield Festival and last year’s Open Flair Festival. On the 2nd of November, Kill Strings will finally release the first single “Everything That Isn’t Me” of their upcoming debut ep “Introspection”! Frontman Lee about the new song: “A lot of people create their identity revolving around material things in today’s consumerist society and they forget who they really are besides their possessions. ‘Everything That Isn’t Me’ is the crashing appeal to the people to free themselves of these materialistic things that already consume so much of their life and to get back to basics.”
“Everything That Isn’t Me” is merely the beginning of the musical reflection of the relation between society and its individuals. Furthermore, it is the first instance of the debut ep “Introspection”, which will be released in February 2019.
