Having left Stockholm and its frustrations in her wake in 2018, Virginia and the Flood found the platform she had been looking for in Gothenburg’s open arms. While making the most of the performance opportunities that were presenting themselves in the west coast city, Virginia And The Flood wasted no time in striking with 3 singles, released over a 6 month period, namely; “Dear God”, “You Will Never Know A River” and “These Birds”.
Now, having played to full-to-capacity venues at Stay Out West and the Reeperbahn festival to close out the summer, Virginia And The Flood is set to hit the live circuit once more with her debut Aqua Duck Down.
The 9 track record is an explosion of honest, brooding vocals layered over gritty guitars and driving beats. It is a polished presentation which showcases Virginia And The Floods fine tuned capabilities. As songwriter, guitarist, producer and performer Virginia and The Flood is in total control of her creative output and the result is a fully aligned experience for the senses.
And if you recognise the face without the Zebra veil it might be because you have spotted Cornelia Adamson in one of her various collaborations with @Tomma Intet and @Melody Fields.
