In July 2016, Altona began what should’ve been a brief hiatus. Following countless member changes and dwindling creative momentum, a general sense of disillusionment arose among remaining members. To top it off, an invitation to play Canadian Music Week didn’t materialize when the band were in a serious car accident en route to Toronto.
So, despite a successful 2015 EP release and Western Canadian touring, the group sank beneath the radar.
Now, three years later, Altona is categorically firing on all cylinders once more. With shows in the Pacific Northwest planned throughout 2020, the Vancouver indie/emo rockers are moving ever-forward with the recent past, vigorous and real, still in their eyeline.
Their debut full-length "I Hope I Got All The Good Stories Out Of Them" is out now.
