Knowmads

KnowMads have been a staple in the Seattle music scene for over a decade. Inspired by the new wave of conscious hip hop that was coming out of their hometown, KnowMads found their own local success in their teens and went on to tackle major Northwest festivals, Bumbershoot and Sasquatch, where they drew thousands of supporters.

 After their first national tour in 2017, KEXP, took note of their ‘Complex Animals’ album, hosting them for a “Live on KEXP” in-studio performance in 2018. 
 KnowMads are truly independent, without representation from a label, management or booking agency and yet they have still managed to amass over 80,000 monthly Spotify listeners and maintain a diehard fan base that continues to grow with each successive release. Years of unflinching dedication to their art granted KnowMads the opportunity to tour over 40 cities in 2019, including 8 shows in Europe, bringing their live show to their now international fan base, from Los Angeles to London. 
 KnowMads are currently working with Peter Lee Johnson, the producer behind Ariana Grande’s “34+35” and “Positions”, who also produced KnowMads top-played album to date 'Knew School'. Back in the studio this year, KnowMads and Peter Lee Johnson have been melding organic instrumentation, 80's synth-pop and 808 bass to create what they dub their "8080's sound".
