Jerry Williams is an unsigned, self-funded and self-releasing 21-year-old Indie pop singer songwriter from Portsmouth, who draws her inspiration from her life growing up and the lives of others around her.
Jerry started writing music from the age of 12 whilst studying classical guitar in which she got to Grade 8 standard and played her first ever gig at 17 at the Eastney Cellars Portsmouth. With three self-released EP’s, ‘A Hairdresser Called Sids’, ‘Cold Beer’ and the award winning ‘Let’s Just forget it’ (winner Best Produced Release 2016 Unsigned Music Awards) behind her, Jerry is currently recording her debut Album. 2017 Has been a fantastic year for Jerry, her single ‘I’m Not In Love With You’ was selected as Radio 1 BBC Introducing Track of the week, National BBC Introducing Artist of The Week with support coming from Huw Stephens and USA KCRW ‘s Jason Kramer. The Box, 4 Music/Boxfresh selected Jerry as one of their 4 artists to watch this year alongside Declan McKenna, Fatherson and Tom Grennan with BT TV selecting Jerry as One to watch alongside Rag N Bone man & Isaac Gracie. Jerry’s music has been featured on ‘Made In Chelsea’, MTV ‘Scream’ and ITV’s ‘Take me out’. She has just released an acoustic version of ‘I'm Not In Love With You’ and ‘Mother’ from her forthcoming 'Let's Just Forget it' Acoustic EP and just been announced for The Great Escape Festival 2018 first fifty.
