wild/kind hail from Vancouver by way of Cape Breton, Calgary, Montreal, and Christchurch, New Zealand.
Singer/guitarist Johnny LaRusic’s East Coast Pop Explosion influences bubble to the top of a sound that comes from four souls who came of age in the 1990s and still haven’t really found their way. After two EPs (Mountains in 2014 and 2015’s Let’s Sail) the band is excited to release their debut full-length, West Ends, in 2019. Recorded by Vancouver pop mainstay Jay Arner, the LP features 10 tracks about Vancouver slumlords, mates lost to cheaper housing, and the friends and lovers we meet at the beach. Full of hooks and harmonies and a bit of hope, perhaps you’ll find comfort humming existential anxiety melodies along with them.
