JamarzOnMarz found his beginnings as a musician watching Lisa Simpson play the saxophone. Because of her, he began playing and by the age of nine, he had already mastered both the alto and soprano saxophone.
By fourteen, he had written his first rap, influenced by his now contemporaries Kendrick Lamar and Travis Scott.
2018 only saw Jamarz sky rocket to new heights. Starting with a set at the Guinness World Record Toga Festival, where he lit Riverstage up with fellow acts San Cisco and KLP.  Jamarz followed this with a LGBTQ+ festival performance, at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, alongside iconic stars Courtney Act and Marcia Hines. In June, his saxophone lead him to perform with megastar Solange Knowles, in her band, for four sold out shows at the Sydney Opera House.
In April, he released his single ‘Fire Extinguisher’, produced by Curtis King whose credits include Kendrick Lamar and Joey Bada$$. The single reached over 100k streams and peaked at #21 on the Australia & New Zealand Viral 50 charts.
Since the release of ‘Fire Extinguisher’, Jamarz sat down with publications such as, The Uncast, to discuss his experience playing with Solange, being a member of the LGBTQ+ community and how his 2017 single ‘Complexion 4 Protection’ highlights struggles for Australian people of colour.
The future only looks brighter for Jamarz with his forthcoming single ‘Amnesia’ being produced by CashMoneyAP; whose credits include Migos, Ski Mask The Slump God and Lil Skies
