Now Taj shares his brand new single ‘All I Do’. The track sees him team up with long time collaborator Taras Hrubyj-Piper and producer Nic Martin. Showcasing a unique blend of jazz guitar and modern RnB, fused with slick production with Taj’s dreamy vocals – the song is a breezy summer anthem in the making.
“All I do is an idea rather than a story, the feeling after I have fucked something up. It's pretty melancholic, although there are a few lines of hope in the chorus & second verse where it changes from 'I fuck things up' to 'maybe it's ok'.“
This will be Taj’s first release for 2018, with his past tracks already earning him comparisons to the likes of The Internet due to “…his laid back but highly contemporary RnB Sound” (Purple Sneakers) & his fusion of “jazzy guitar hooks… hip hop beats & breezy vocals” (The Most Radicalist). Taj Ralph started his musical journey busking around Sydney’s northern beaches, where a chance encounter with Solo from Horrorshow saw him feature on their track ‘Push’. As a finalist for triple j’s unearthed high, he went on to score support slots touring with Amy Shark, Kim Churchill & Golden Vessel. Both of Taj’s Sydney headline shows at the Newsagency (2016) & The Record Crate (2017) were sold out and he wowed audiences at last year’s Bigsound conference.
