Producer-writers and brothers, Cato and Kent Sundberg teamed up with Lasse Michelsen to create Rat City as a production team in 2017. For the debut Rat City single, the guys reached out to Norwegian newcomer Isak Heim to add lead vocals, which depict the ultimate dysfunctional relationship.
When challenged with the task of creating a visual identity for Rat City the brothers Sundberg approached US-based animator ‘Micah Monkey’ who designed a whole world for the band, characters from which premiered in their debut music video for “Kind of Love”.
The band have spent most of the year in the studio putting the finishing touches to several new records which will appear between now and the end of the year, the first of which is a collaboration with superstar Dutch DJ, Lvndscape and is a cover of Men At Work’s classic Australian anthem, “Down Under” released by Spinnin'. The track features Rat City’s Kent Sundberg on lead vocals and the Rat City team lending a hand to Lvndscape on the production.
The band’s next single entitled “Deliriously Good” follows on Aug 16th and comes with an appropriately stunning new animated video which will debut with the release of that single.
