Nuno Santos is Portuguese musician and adventurer that has been playing his violin for over 15 years on some of the most challenging environments on the planet. From the biggest waves of the 7 seas to the highest mountains of the 7 continents, “A Violin in the most unlikely places” is a project of musical & natural exploration that has gained international notoriety for the unlikely fusion of adventure, art & culture. “A Violin in the most unlikely places” is a unique project that enhances the importance of creativity and differentiation. It is a disruptive approach that contrasts the fragility of a violin with the hostility of extreme sea and mountain scenarios, translating metaphorically the balance between opposites. It is a poetic and inspiring approach to personal superation, that emphasizes the dichotomy between self-confidence & humility, resilience & acceptance, and competition & cooperation. Nuno pursued an academic career for several years. However, a strong call for musical & natural exploration, as well as the need for a more practical application of knowledge drew him back into the wild and to project “A Violin in the most unlikely places”. Nuno currently focuses is work between music production for concerts and documentaries, and musical & natural exploration in unlikely settings, in a unique concept of human performance in Art & Nature.
