Born Carmelo Cianflone, MMM is an independent artist from the Southside of Chicago. Growing up Melo was surrounded by all types of music ranging from Lil Wayne to Nirvana. By incorporating elements like live strings, he creates a technical juxtaposition to his otherwise grunge style. Melo produces and ideates many elements within his own visual world with help from a handful of frequent collaborators. Melo aims to bridge cultural and artistic gaps.
He has collaborated with Chicago artists such as Ravyn Lenae, Supa Bwe, Twista, KAMI, Taylor Bennett, Kweku Collins, Tatiana Hazel and producer, Martin $ky, amongst others. 2018 proved to be a very bright year for Melo – he was made an ambassador for Soundcloud's first Creators Campaign, performed his first official showcase at SXSW, opened on a nationwide tour, and released his first mixtape that fall. MMM embodies the notion that as an artist, one should not constrict themselves to concrete definitions or limitations.
In the spring of 2019 MMM released the first single from his upcoming EP, a track titled “High Vibrations.
On April 3rd 2019 the official music video premiered via Noisey
Later that month High Vibrations was used by the NBA during the NBA Finals.
