and stunning storytelling. His music is influenced by Eminem in flow, Common in lyrical content
and Kanye West in production.
Mike has performed at classic NYC venues such as Arlene’s Grocery, Bowery Poetry
Club and Goodbye Blue Monday. He grew as a musician collaborating with punk rock/new aave
group Genuine Imitations at their home away from home, the Yippie Museum. In 2015, Mike
appeared in Deli Magazine’s emerging artist issue. He’s opened up for legends like Dougie
Fresh and superstars like Big K.R.I.T. He’s placed third in a local competition at the Pyramid
club and has managed and produced a few of NYC’s growing talents.
In 2019, Mike collaborated with modern dance group, konverjdans, where he composed
"Nobody Knows Our Names," a piece inspired by James Baldwin. Mike also co-wrote and
performed two songs for a documentary about graffiti culture with graffiti legend Staff 161. Mike collaborates with fellow emcee Tha Gata Negrra and works frequently with RnB/Pop artist, Meghan Irving.
