In 2015, fascinated by the beauty of our planet earth and the fate of human extinction by meteorite interference, Vroemen composed the beginnings of a contemporary opera. The instrumental piece ‘Impact’ was the start of a larger set of works combining music, opera, stage video-mapping, dance and special added sound effects to the evolution of stage arts. Parts of the musical of the themes of 'Impact' where played and recorded at a concert in the Nicolai Church in Utrecht (NL). During the concert, Vroemen performed in his own piece as a percussionist, bullwhip and anvil player. Accompanied by a 20 person mixed choir, ensemble, sound designers and visuals the concert was the beginning of a chapter for Vroemen’s contemporary music composing career.
In other works Vroemen uses the very fascination for natural resources, human society and a healthy lifestyle, next to his love for acoustic symphonic instruments and natural created sound.
Vroemen’s music can be found on most streaming services and is available for download or as CD purchase online.
