"Where´s music going? Just a few know, but it seems there´s a few expert fishermen at sea that can still find the harmony, through plugins that create waves, and mostly, in the currents that push artists towards technique and the absolute control of the musical ocean before us.
Lucky enough, there are also a few cast always, like Wood, that, even though experting at the most used tools, they still understand the importance of letting themselves flow with the waters or whatever it is that takes you to float to shore. In ´Okeanos´ they take their first journey and make it through. Even if they didn´t know what they were doing, Wood has directly become a respectable band just for trying to make such an ambitious album.
So, what are these lads from Torelló really trying to achieve? Everything. Some people like dispersion, they believe in taking as many paths as possible hoping that each one will be different. Woods’ debut album doesn’t have just one reading, and it may not be easy to understand at first, but each song is a different universe that the quintet eats away at savagely.
They started out as a math–rock band, not something easy to abandon, so the album is full of formulas and links that fill your ears with a feeling of stupefaction and misunderstanding. A mathematical labyrinth that also includes touches of jazz. "
